Polish Days #3: Olympic Games

Its the third event for Polish Days, but it is our second since we missed out the first one! According to Hannah from Polly Polish, the third Polish Day's theme would be the Olympic Games, as August Polish Day falls right in middle of the 2012 London Olympic Games!

About the Singapore's Flag
Red is the symbol of universal brotherhood and equality of man, while white signifies everlasting purity and virtue. The crescent symbolises the young nation on the ascendant and the 5 stars represent the 5 ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.

Since we are celebrating Singapore's 47th National Day on the 9 of August, in collaboration with the current theme, we have decided to create our Olympic Games nails according to our flag's colors! Yeah~

Both of us were never good with nail art, therefore we decided to top our nails with some glitters!
We chose (from Left)OPI Alphine Snow, 'Mysterious Glitter' and OPI It's So Hot, It Berns

'Mysterious Glitter' is a customised polish(more details will be revealed in another post) contains silver holographic stars, red tiny circle glitters, white tiny square glitters, red medium hexagonal glitter, white large hexagonal glitters.
Wow, this bottle of glitter is so patriotic!

As Singapore has recently won a bronze medal in the Olympic for the Female Singles Table Tennis match, we are even more determined to paint our nails like the flag with Red on our index and middle finger, white on the index and pinkey followed by the Mysterious Glitter

Index & Middle Finger: Mysterious Glitter layered over OPI It's So Hot, It Berns(Base)
Ring & Pinkey: Mysterious Glitter over OPI Alphine Snow

What is with the glitter?
Neither of us are good with free hand drawing, thus we decided to just use Mysterious glitters to layer them over our nails! Our friends who have seen our nails, teased us wondering when were we so patriotic, so we answered, since now! LOL

While we were thinking of how should our nails be painted for this Polish Days, over at the London Olympics Patriotic Country Nails are in the trend now!
